Red Hills

The Red Hills are a small but rugged mountain range located in eastern California. The range is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and canyons carved by intermittent streams. The terrain is primarily composed of sedimentary and volcanic rock formations, with outcroppings and talus slopes common throughout. Vegetation is sparse, consisting mainly of hardy shrubs, grasses, and scattered piñon pine and juniper trees. Despite the arid climate, the range provides important habitat for wildlife such as bighorn sheep, mule deer, and various bird of prey species.
