Piute Range

The Piute Range is a small but rugged mountain range located in the eastern Sierra Nevada of California. Stretching for approximately 30 miles, the range features steep, granite-dominated peaks and canyons carved by glaciers. Elevations range from around 6,000 feet in the foothills to over 11,000 feet at the highest summits. The landscape is characterized by alpine lakes, cascading streams, and vast expanses of granite and pine forest. Due to its remote location, the Piute Range sees relatively low visitation compared to other Sierra Nevada ranges, offering a more solitary wilderness experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
