About Pedernal Hills

The Pedernal Hills are a small, rugged mountain range located in north-central New Mexico. The range is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and canyons carved by intermittent streams. Elevations range from around 6,000 feet in the valleys to just over 8,800 feet at the summit of Pedernal Peak, the range's highest point.
