Panoche Hills

The Panoche Hills are a small mountain range located in the northern Diablo Range of central California. This rugged, remote area features rolling hills, steep canyons, and exposed rock outcroppings. The landscape is dominated by chaparral vegetation, with scattered oak woodlands and grassy meadows in the valleys. Wildlife in the area includes mule deer, coyotes, and various bird species. The terrain in the Panoche Hills is generally arid and challenging, with few maintained trails or visitor facilities.
