Palos Verdes Hills

The Palos Verdes Hills are a small coastal mountain range in southwestern Los Angeles County, California. The range covers an area of approximately 20 square miles and rises from the Pacific Ocean to an average elevation of around 1,000 feet. The terrain is characterized by steep, rugged canyons, rolling hills, and dramatic sea cliffs that overlook the coastline. The hills are primarily composed of sedimentary rocks, including shale, sandstone, and siltstone, which have been shaped by erosion over time.
