Organ Mountains

The Organ Mountains are a rugged and scenic mountain range located in southern New Mexico, near the city of Las Cruces. The range is characterized by steep, jagged peaks and rocky outcroppings that resemble the pipes of an organ, hence the name. The Organ Mountains rise abruptly from the surrounding Chihuahuan Desert, creating a dramatic and distinctive landscape. The range is part of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, a protected area that preserves the unique geological and ecological features of the region.
