Old Dad Mountains

The Old Dad Mountains are a small, rugged mountain range located in eastern California, near the Nevada border. Formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago, the range features steep, rocky slopes and deep canyons. The terrain is characterized by sparse vegetation, with creosote bush, cacti, and Joshua trees dotting the landscape. Elevation ranges from around 2,000 feet in the lower canyons to over 5,000 feet at the highest peaks, providing a dramatic contrast against the surrounding desert environment.
