About Medicine Bow Mountains

The Medicine Bow Mountains are a rugged mountain range located in southeastern Wyoming. Spanning over 100 miles, the range is characterized by jagged granite peaks, alpine lakes, and vast tracts of subalpine forest. The terrain is generally steep and rocky, with numerous glacially-carved valleys and cirques. Elevations range from around 7,000 feet in the foothills to over 12,000 feet at the highest summits.
