Connect Roamze to ChatGPT

Add Roamze to ChatGPT as a connector: copy one URL, create the connector in ChatGPT's settings, then sign in to Roamze and approve. After that, ask ChatGPT for trails, conditions, or a whole trip.

Before you start

You need a Roamze account (free — sign up at roamze.com/signup) and a ChatGPT account that shows a Connectors section in its settings. Some plans need Developer mode turned on before you can create a connector: open Settings, then Connectors, then Advanced settings, and switch it on. Connecting takes about a minute and there is nothing to install.

Add the connector

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Connectors, then Create. Name it Roamze, paste this URL exactly: https://mcp.roamze.com/mcp, keep sign-in as the login method, and create it. If you don't see Create, turn on Developer mode first (see above) and come back.

Sign in and approve

The first time you use Roamze in a chat, ChatGPT sends you to roamze.com. Sign in with your Roamze account, then read the approval screen. It lists what Roamze will share: public trail, campground, gear, and meal data, weather and permit information from public agencies, and your own gear closet. If you want ChatGPT to build trips in your account, check Let it create trips before you continue. Tap Allow access. ChatGPT never sees your Roamze password, and it can't edit or delete anything in your account.

Try it

Start a new chat. If ChatGPT doesn't reach for Roamze on its own, open the plus menu in the message box and pick Roamze from your connectors. Ask something like: find moderate hikes under 6 miles near Buena Vista and check this weekend's forecast. If you allowed trips, try: plan two nights near Buena Vista in late September and create the trip on Roamze. The trip appears in your Roamze account under your experiences, ready to edit.

Disconnect

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Connectors, and remove Roamze. That revokes its access immediately. There is nothing to undo on the Roamze side.

If it doesn't work

If ChatGPT says it can't reach Roamze, remove the connector and create it again. If the approval screen never loads on your phone, open the link in your regular browser rather than an in-app browser. If ChatGPT can search but says it can't create a trip, Let it create trips wasn't checked when you approved — remove the connector, create it again, and check it this time. Still stuck?
