About Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort
Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort sits on 16 acres overlooking the southern end of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, the historic P Ranch, and the Donner und Blitzen River in Oregon's remote high desert. Owned and operated by Mark and Debbie Webb since 2010, the resort offers nine rental units ranging from simple cabins to a fully furnished two-bedroom homestead, plus full hook-up RV sites with long pull-through access and 12 grassy tent sites. Open year-round, guests can fish the Donner und Blitzen River for native trout, observe abundant wildlife including migratory birds, photograph under some of the darkest night skies in the United States, or hike scenic trails. All overnight guests access complimentary Wi-Fi, a DVD library, clean restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and a small general store stocked with snacks, RV supplies, firewood, and hunting and fishing licenses.
