Rapid Transit Rafting operates two signature trips from Estes Park: a half-day run on the Cache la Poudre River, Colorado's federally designated Wild and Scenic River, featuring Class II-III rapids including Killer Kowalski, Cardiac Corner, and Pine View Falls; and a full-day Colorado River trip through Gore Canyon with 16 miles of scenic float, Class II-III rapids, and a riverside lunch stop. Both trips include round-trip transportation via the company's red school buses, certified guides, and all safety gear. The Cache la Poudre half-day takes 4–5 hours total with approximately 80 minutes of driving each way and 2 hours on the water. The Colorado River full-day spans 8–9 hours and includes a scenic drive over Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park with wildlife viewing opportunities for elk, bighorn sheep, and eagles. The company has operated since 1983 and intentionally caps rapids at Class III to accommodate families and children as young as seven.
