Monarch Spur RV Park

Monarch Spur RV Park and Campground sits at 8,620 feet elevation in the San Isabel National Forest along the south fork of the Arkansas River near Salida. Operating since 1940 as a family-owned park, it offers 60-foot pull-thru RV sites with full hook-ups (20, 30, and 50 amps), tent campsites, fully-furnished cabins named Mt. Shavano and Mt. Tabeguache, and travel trailer rentals (Mt. Princeton and Mt. Yale models). Amenities include free Wi-Fi, laundry and shower facilities, a camp store, and a 7,000-square-foot dog park. The park reopened under new ownership in 2023 and has accumulated over 400 five-star reviews.
