About Fish Tech Outfitters
Fish Tech Outfitters has served the Salt Lake City area since 1996 as a premier fly fishing and tackle shop. The store stocks equipment for fly fishing, spin fishing, bait fishing, trolling, and ice fishing across fresh and saltwater conditions. The team brings over 100 years of combined fishing experience and provides local water reports, handpicked gear from top brands, and expert advice for both veterans and beginners.
Established by Byron and DeEtte Gunderson, Jim Gunderson, Mickey Anderson, and Brian Jarvis, the business was acquired in 2023 by long-time customers Stirling and Casey Broadhead (father and son), who continue the original founders' legacy. Fish Tech hosts classes, events, and educational programs, and customers can visit the store in Holladay to browse equipment, swap stories, and receive guidance before heading out to fish.
