Cross Current Outfitters is an Orvis Endorsed fly fishing guide service on the Upper Delaware River System in New York and Pennsylvania, based at the Shehawken Access on the West Branch. The operation guides wild trout on the West Branch, East Branch, and Main Stem of the Delaware River using drift boats, wading, or a combination depending on conditions. They also guide the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, and Neversink Rivers, with trout season running April through late October. Captain Joe Demalderis, who has fished the Delaware since the mid-1970s and been an Orvis Endorsed guide for more than twenty years, leads the service. Beyond local trips, Cross Current offers a destination fishing experience in Patagonia, Chile each February at Estancia del Zorro, where anglers fish streams, rivers, and spring creeks across 15,000 acres with opportunities for dry fly sight fishing for fish up to thirty-two inches. Smallmouth bass guided trips run late June through October on the Upper Delaware, targeting fish on spin tackle or fly rod.
