Rimini

Rimini is a ghost town in Lewis and Clark County, Montana, with roots stretching back to 1864, when silver lodes drew prospectors to the area and established one of the oldest mining districts in the state. Over the years the district went by several names — among them Bear Gulch, Colorado, Tenmile, Vaughn, and Lewis and Clark — reflecting the shifting communities and claims that came and went across the site. It was also home to Camp Rimini at some point in its history.

Visitors today find a quiet, weathered remnant of that early era. The setting itself is the main draw, and those with an interest in Montana history or photography will appreciate the atmosphere. Access is typical of remote ghost towns in the state — manageable in the warmer months but potentially difficult once winter closes in.
