Cornucopia

Tucked away in Elko County, Nevada, Cornucopia is a ghost town with roots stretching back to 1873, when a mining district was established in the area. Over its active years, the settlement went by more than one name — Milltown and Kaufmanville among them — before eventually fading into abandonment.

Today Cornucopia exists as an extinct community, and visitors should set expectations accordingly. The historical record is sparse, so any remnants on the ground are likely modest at best. The appeal is primarily historical curiosity and the rugged Nevada landscape surrounding the site.
