About Bronx

Bronx is a ghost town in Sublette County, Wyoming, situated on the east bank of the Green River near the site of the original Warren Bridge. Settlers arrived in the early 1900s, many of them transplants from Kansas, and a post office opened in 1906 on the Pape Ranch. The small community supported a general store, operated first by C.Y. Phillips and later by R.T. Albert and Sons, as well as a community hall built about half a mile east of the bridge.

Visitors today will find little more than foundations where that hall once stood. The setting along the Green River provides the main draw, and the site suits those interested in Wyoming frontier history and roadside exploration.
