Bookertee

Bookertee is a ghost town in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, widely regarded as a historical all-Black community. It was most likely named in honor of Booker T. Washington, the prominent African-American educator.

Very little survives on the ground today. The railway that once ran through the townsite is essentially the only physical remnant a visitor will encounter, making this a place of historical reflection rather than exploration.
