About Blacks Fork

Blacks Fork — also called Blacks Fork Commissary — is a ghost town in Summit County, Utah, taking its name from the nearby Blacks Fork River. It functioned as a logging town for roughly six decades, from 1870 until operations wound down around 1930.

Visitors today encounter a historic site whose active era has long since passed. As with most ghost towns of this age, expect sparse physical remains and a quiet, rural setting rather than preserved structures or interpretive facilities.
