Autwine is a ghost town in Kay County, Oklahoma, carrying a layered naming history that reflects the region's past. The site went by two earlier names — Pierceton and Virginia City — before settling on its current identity, which honors Antoine Roy, a prominent figure and leader within the Ponca Nation.

A postal record traces the settlement's active years: a post office operated under the name Pierceton beginning in May 1894, then continued under the Autwine name from March 1903 until its closure in June 1922. The end of postal service signals the town's decline into the ghost settlement it is today.
