Sentee de Cugn is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Ticino region of southern Switzerland, about 5 miles from the town of Bellinzona. The route is roughly 4.8 miles long, and it climbs to a high point of about 6,434 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 3,353 feet over the course of the trip. The climb is a significant one, and the route is best suited to hikers who plan for a full day on their feet. The trail is not short, and the elevation gain is more than double the 1,800 feet listed for the one-way section. Two huts sit close to the route: Capanna Gesero is about a mile away, and Nuova Capanna Gesero in località Biscia is just beyond it. The Cugn - Albionasca hike and the Sentiero Val d'Albionasca are both within about 2 miles, so they make easy additions to a longer outing in the area.
