Mount Smuts Route is a 2.0-mile loop in Alberta, Canada, inside Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. It runs between about 7,540 ft and 9,280 ft above sea level, with roughly 2,390 ft of climbing over the route. It is difficult alpine terrain with exposed scrambling, for experienced mountaineers only. The nearest town is Fortress Mountain Resort, about 8.2 miles west of the trailhead. Peaks within about 3 miles include Mount Smuts, Smutwood Peak and Mount Birdwood. For camping, Burstall Campground - Us18 is within about 6 miles.
