About this water

The Swift River along the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountain National Forest is one of New Hampshire's most accessible and scenic trout streams, running parallel to NH Route 112 for miles. The river offers excellent pocket water fishing for stocked and wild brook and brown trout, with numerous pull-offs along the highway providing easy access. Rocky Gorge and Lower Falls are particularly productive and popular access points.
