Many buildings throughout Grand Teton National Park have a history. Buildings like this one take us back to the park's beginning. Three years before the park, this comfort station was constructed to provide a much-needed amenity to Jenny Lake Campground (can you imagine no restrooms, tables, fire rings, or drinking water?). Today, these historic structures at Jenny Lake are getting a new life and continue to be an important part of Grand Teton's history.
