About

South Tiger Mountain is a summit in Washington, about 1.4 miles from the community of Mirrormont. It is the southern high point of the Tiger Mountain area, and several trails reach it within a short distance. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. A nearby weather station at Cedar Lake records typical July and August highs around 70°F and only eight or nine wet days a month, against roughly 20 in late fall and winter, when snow days also appear. That station sits about 500 feet below the summit, so expect the top to run a little cooler. The closest routes are the South Tiger Summit Trail, 0.3 miles away, and the South Tiger Mountain Traverse Trail, 0.4 miles away. The Tiger Mountain Trail is about 0.6 miles off, and Issaquah Creek, roughly 4 miles away, offers canoeing.
