Pyramid Peak

Washington

About

Pyramid Peak is a summit in Mount Rainier National Park, inside the Mount Rainier Wilderness, about 10 miles from the town of Ashford, Washington. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Paradise ranger station reach highs of 62°F in July and 64°F in August, and because that station sits well below the summit, temperatures up high run cooler. The Pyramid Peak Trail lies about a mile away, and Mildred Point is a little farther. Cougar Rock Campground is about 3 miles off for an overnight base, and the Nisqually River is within 4 miles.
