About

Doe Island is a 10-acre state park in Washington, managed by the state park agency and located about 12.5 miles from Anacortes. Small as it is, the park holds one campground, making it a compact overnight destination rather than a place for long trail days. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July and August highs reach about 69°F with roughly five wet days a month, according to averages from a nearby weather station, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and around 15 wet days. Several other spots lie within a few miles. The Coho Preserve Trail and Sound View Trail are both under 3 miles away, as are the Highlands Trail and the Cascadia Marine Trail Campsite at Obstruction Pass.
