Westport Light State Park

Westport Light State Park is a public ocean beach on the Washington coast, about half a mile from the town of Westport, within the Pacific Cascade Region. It's a simple, free stop: there is no fee, restrooms are on site, the beach has accessible access, and swimming is allowed. Summer through early fall is the most comfortable stretch here. Typical averages from the nearby Grayland weather station show highs around 66 to 67°F from July through September, with about 10 to 11 wet days a month, compared with roughly 20 or more wet days a month through much of winter. For more time outdoors, Shifting Sands Natural Trail lies about 2.4 miles away and Bottle Beach Interpretive Trail about 3.6 miles away. Paddlers can head to Elk River, roughly 9 miles off, while Johns River Crossover Trail offers another hike about 6.8 miles from the beach.
