Mutiny Bay Boat Launch (road End)

Mutiny Bay Boat Launch, at the road end, is a public ocean beach in Washington, set within Robinson Park about 2.5 miles from the town of Freeland. It's a simple shoreline access point with restrooms on site, and there is no fee to use it. Summer is the most comfortable time for a visit. Typical July and August highs reach about 73°F with only around six wet days a month, according to averages from the Port Townsend weather station 13 miles away. Winter there runs cool and damp, with highs in the mid-40s and wet days on more than half the days of the month. Within about seven miles, the Island County Fairgrounds and the Cascade Marine Trail Campsite at Kinney Point offer places to camp. Hikers can head to the Oak Bay Trail or the Talbot Trail, both a little over eight miles away.
