Larrabee State Park, Wildcat Cove

Wildcat Cove is a public ocean beach within Larrabee State Park in Washington, about 6.6 miles from the town of Edison. The beach has restrooms, and a fee is charged. Swimming is not allowed here, so plan on enjoying the shoreline from dry land. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. July and August typically bring highs around 75°F and only about six wet days a month, based on typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bellingham. From late fall through winter, highs drop to the upper 40s and rain falls on roughly 20 days a month. Larrabee State Park Campground sits just 0.1 mile away, making an easy base for an overnight stay. Hikers can head to Rooty Ridge or Hemlock Trail, both about 2.4 miles off. Paddlers will find the Cascadia Marine Trail Campsite on Lummi Island roughly 5.5 miles away.
