American Legion Park
About
American Legion Park is a public ocean beach in Washington, about half a mile from Poulsbo. It's a simple stop with restrooms on site and no fee to visit. Swimming is not allowed here, so plan on enjoying the shoreline from the beach itself. Summer is the most comfortable time to come. July and August typically bring highs around 77°F and only about six wet days a month, based on typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bremerton. If you want to pair a beach visit with something more active, Millie's Trail is about 4 miles away and Clear Creek Trail is about 4.5 miles away. Port Gamble Heritage Park, a climbing area, lies about 5 miles off. The Derailed mountain biking trail is a little farther out.
