16th Avenue West Access
About
16th Avenue West Access is a public ocean beach in Washington, about 1.5 miles from Seattle and associated with the Elliott Bay Trail. The site has restrooms, and there is no fee to visit. Swimming is not allowed, so plan on enjoying the shoreline from the beach rather than the water. Summer is the most comfortable time to come. At a nearby weather station, typical July and August highs reach about 76 to 77°F, with only around six wet days a month, while the rest of the year runs cooler and considerably rainier. The beach makes an easy pairing with other Seattle outings. The Waterfront Trail is about 2.4 miles away, and the Burke-Gilman Trail and Seattle Urban Climbing are both roughly 2.6 miles off. Green Lake Trail is about 3.2 miles away.
