Historic Route 66 is a 392.7-mile All-American Road in Oklahoma, a stretch of the old highway that links dozens of towns across the state. The route passes through Sayre, Texola, Elk City, Baxter Springs, Quapaw, Commerce, North Miami, Miami, Vinita, Claremore, Verdigris, Catoosa, Tulsa, Sapulpa, Bristow, Depew, Stroud, Davenport, Chandler, Warwick, Wellston, Luther, Arcadia, Edmond, Warr Acres, Bethany, Woodlawn Park, Yukon, El Reno, Calumet, Geary, Bridgeport, Hydro, Weatherford, Clinton and Foss. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to drive it.
