Atlantic Beach: Fort Macon

Atlantic Beach: Fort Macon is a public beach access point in North Carolina, managed as a state park and located about 2.3 miles from Beaufort. It's a straightforward place to reach the sand, with restrooms and parking on site, and there is no fee to use it. For a beach day, summer brings the warmest weather. Oyster Point Camp, about 6.4 miles off, is the closest campground.
