Indian Hills State Golf Course

Indian Hills State Golf Course is a 194-acre state park in New York, managed by the state park agency. It sits about half a mile from the town of Presho, close to the Pennsylvania line. The best stretch to visit is late spring through early fall. At a nearby weather station in Addison, typical average highs climb from about 70°F in May to 82°F in July, with lows in the mid-50s at midsummer. September stays mild, with highs near 74°F and lows around 47°F. By October, highs drop to about 61°F. Rain is spread through the year, falling on roughly 12 to 15 days in most months, so expect some wet days even in summer. Winters are cold. January highs average about 33°F and lows about 14°F. Snow falls on around eight or nine days a month from December through February, and it typically lingers into March. Several other outdoor options lie within a short drive. Crystal Hills Trail is about 2.7 miles away, and Houghton Land Preserve Trail is about 4.9 miles away. Across the state line in Pennsylvania, Tompkins and Lawrence Recreation Area offer camping at roughly 8 miles.
