Stratham Hill
About
Stratham Hill is a summit within Stratham Hill Park in southeastern New Hampshire, about 2.5 miles from the town of Newfields. It sits close to a cluster of short trails, so it's easy to fold a visit to the top into a longer outing on the park's network. Late summer into early fall tends to be the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Greenland put September highs around 72°F with lows near 52°F, and August highs around 79°F. That station sits a little below the summit, so temperatures on top may run slightly cooler. The closest trails start practically next door, with Kitty Rock Trail about 0.1 mile away and Long Hill Trail and Fire Pit Trail within a mile. Paddlers can head to the Squamscott River, roughly 5 miles off.
