Mount Caesar
About
Mount Caesar is a summit in southwestern New Hampshire, about 1.5 miles from West Swanzey, within the Carpenter Home land unit. Late summer into early fall makes for comfortable outings. Typical averages from the Keene weather station, about 5 miles away, show September highs near 73°F and lows around 47°F, and since that station sits well below the summit, expect temperatures up top to run a little cooler. Winter is a different story, with January highs around 30°F and several snowy days most months from December through March. Elijah's Epic Summit Trail (yellow) begins just half a mile away, and the Blue Trail is about 1.5 miles off. For a change of pace, the Stone Arch Bridge climbing area lies roughly 3.7 miles away, and paddlers can head to The Branch, about 4.2 miles from the peak.
