Knife River Marina Beach

Knife River Marina Beach is a public lake beach in Minnesota, about a third of a mile from the town of Knife River. It's a simple spot for a stop at the water's edge, close enough to town to pair with errands or a meal. Summer is the warmest window. Typical averages from the Two Harbors weather station, about 8 miles away, put July and August highs around 75°F with lows in the mid-50s. June and September are cooler, with highs near 67°F. May tops out around 58°F and October around 54°F. Rain is spread through the warm months, with roughly 11 to 13 wet days a month from May through October. Winter is cold and snowy. January highs average 24°F with lows near 7°F, and snow falls on about 6 to 8 days a month from December through February. Snow days taper off in November and March and are rare by April. Two other spots lie just under 5 miles away. The Knife River, about 4.7 miles off, is a canoeing route. Korkki Nordic Trails, about 4.5 miles away, offers cross-country skiing in winter.
