Thumb Lake Boat Launch
About
Thumb Lake Boat Launch is a boat launch on Thumb Lake in northern Michigan, about 6 miles from the town of Vanderbilt. Summer is the warmest time to be on the water. Typical July averages at the nearby Boyne Falls weather station run to highs around 83°F and lows near 58°F, with June and August close behind. The launch sits a few hundred feet higher than that station, so expect it to run a little cooler. The surrounding area also draws winter visitors.
