Stone Lake Public Boat Launch is a public boat launch on Stone Lake in southwest Michigan, about 0.7 miles from the town of Cassopolis. It gives boaters a public access point onto the lake, close enough to town to make for an easy outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to get on the water. Typical July highs reach about 81°F with lows around 60°F, and September still averages highs near 73°F, based on long-term averages from a nearby weather station in Dowagiac. Within about 10 miles, paddlers can also try the Dowagiac River, roughly 9 miles away. For time off the water, the Tk Lawless Mtb Trail - Big Dipper, the Loop Trail (Intermediate) and the Paved (Easy) trail all sit about 8 miles away.
