Trine State Recreation Area
About
Trine State Recreation Area is a 183-acre state park in northeast Indiana, about 2 miles from the town of Snow Lake. It is managed by the state park agency and falls within its own recreation area boundary. Inside the park is a single fishing or paddling spot, which makes it a compact destination for time on the water rather than a sprawling network of facilities. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Angola weather station show July highs around 82°F, and September highs around 74°F with lows near 51°F. Close by, the Hell's Point Challenge hike lies less than a mile away. Paddlers can also head to Crooked Creek, about 4.5 miles off, or Pigeon Creek, roughly 8 miles away.
