The entire scene here is built around a single concentrated area — Peaches Boulder — with a tight cluster of problems that range from approachable warm-ups to more demanding lines like Mastermind and Peachonator. With only eight listed problems, this isn't a destination you'll spend a week at, but it's a solid half-day stop, especially if you're traveling through southwestern Idaho and want to pull on real rock. The problems skew toward shorter, technical bouldering rather than roped climbing, so leave the rope and harness at home. The Warm Up and Mastermind the Easy Way problems make the area accessible to intermediate boulderers, while Mastermind itself and Peachonator offer something harder to work on. Given Murphy's high desert setting in the Owyhee foothills, the rock tends to be best in spring and fall when temperatures are moderate and the stone isn't baking in summer sun.
All eight listed problems at the Peaches Boulder area are bouldering — no roped routes are included in the current listings. Bring crash pads, climbing shoes, and a brush. A rope and harness won't be useful here.

Spring (March through May) and fall (September through November) are the most reliable windows for comfortable temperatures in this part of the Owyhee high desert. Summer middays get hot enough to make the rock unpleasant and slick with sweat, so early morning sessions are your best bet if you're visiting in summer.

Murphy is a small county seat in Owyhee County with limited services — fuel up and grab food before you head out. Dirt roads are common in this part of Idaho, so check road conditions after rain or snow before making the drive, as clay-heavy desert roads can become impassable when wet.
