Crescent Beach: Crescent Beach Ramp

Crescent Beach Ramp is a public beach access point in Florida, right in the community of Crescent Beach, about a tenth of a mile from the town itself. It offers restrooms, lifeguards and accessible access, so it works well for a straightforward day at the shore. Typical averages from the nearby St Augustine Lighthouse weather station, about 8 miles away, show mild winters and hot summers. January highs average around 67°F with lows near 48°F, and February is only slightly warmer. Spring warms quickly. April highs reach about 80°F, and May highs reach about 85°F. July is the hottest month, with highs near 91°F and lows around 74°F, and August is nearly as warm. Summer is also the wettest stretch, with roughly 12 to 14 wet days a month from June through September. October cools to highs near 82°F, and November averages about 75°F. Snow doesn't figure into any month. A fee is charged to use the access point. Dogs are allowed. For a change from the sand, Moses Creek Conservation Area Trail is about 1.6 miles away, and the Rattlesnake Island climbing area sits roughly 4.9 miles from the ramp.
