Panorama Point
About
Panorama Point is a summit in Golden Gate Canyon State Park in Colorado, about 4 miles from the town of Coal Creek. It sits close to several trails and climbing areas, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent elsewhere in the park. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit, with typical July highs around 73°F and lows near 48°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Coal Creek Canyon. That station sits a few hundred feet below the summit, so temperatures at the top tend to run a little cooler. Raccoon Trail starts less than half a mile away, and the climbing areas of Mt. Thorodin and Second Buttress are both about 0.7 miles off. For an overnight stay, Cold Springs Campground lies roughly 4 miles away.
