Mount Oklahoma
About
Mount Oklahoma is a high summit in Lake County, Colorado, inside the Mount Massive Wilderness on the Sopris Ranger District of the White River National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the nearest town is Twin Lakes, about 11.3 miles away. The peak sits within designated wilderness, so trips here mean travel on foot through protected backcountry rather than on developed roads. A summit route leads to the top. Mount Champion and North Halfmoon Lakes are both hikes within about three miles. Elbert Creek Campground and Halfmoon West Campground offer places to camp a short drive away.
