Maroon Peak

Colorado

About

Maroon Peak is a Colorado summit in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, part of the Aspen Ranger District of White River National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and Snowmass Village is the nearest town, about 10 miles away. Because the peak sits inside designated wilderness, wilderness rules apply to any trip here. Several other outings lie close by. The North Maroon Peak Northeast Ridge ski tour is just under a mile away, and the West Maroon and Willow Lake hikes are about 2 miles off. Maroon Lake Scenic, a lake fishing spot, is roughly 3.4 miles away.
