Booger Red Hill

Colorado

About

Booger Red Hill is a summit on Bureau of Land Management land in the Rocky Mountain District of Colorado, about 4.7 miles from the town of Cripple Creek. Summer and early fall are the mildest times to visit. At a nearby weather station, typical June highs reach about 73°F and September highs about 67°F, with September seeing far fewer wet days than July and August. That station sits roughly 600 feet below the hill, so temperatures on the summit run cooler. BLM Trail 5808A starts less than a mile away, and Fourmile Creek offers canoeing about 2.3 miles off. Climbers can head to Valhalla, about 3.4 miles away. Cripple Creek RV Park, near town, is the closest campground.
