It sits among several other climbing spots, with Leftovers and Turkey Tail both about 0.1 mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Florissant Fossil Bed weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 79°F with lows near 42°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 30s.
