Triangle Boulder is a bouldering spot in southwest Colorado on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management's Tres Rios Field Office, about 2 miles from Durango. For comfortable conditions, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Durango weather station run highs around 71°F in May and 76°F in September. July and August bring more wet days and highs in the 80s. The station sits only a few hundred feet below the boulder, so temperatures at the rock are a little cooler. Other problems sit right alongside it. Little Sandy Boulders and the Bleeding Lip Area are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Lower Merve mountain bike trail starts within the same short distance. For an overnight base, Junction Creek Campground is about 2.5 miles off.
