Snowdon Peak is a climbing area in southwestern Colorado's Weminuche Wilderness, part of the Columbine Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and because the peak sits inside designated wilderness, visits fall under that area's wilderness rules. Other destinations sit close by. North Twilight Peak is about a mile away, and the hike to Crater Lake is roughly 1.3 miles off. For an overnight base, Little Molas Lake Campground lies about 2.4 miles away. Climbers looking for more rock can head to Grand Turk, about 4.2 miles distant.
